2013 Eastside Camera Club

Scavenger Hunt

What is a Scavenger Hunt? It is your opportunity to be creative and share the images that you make at the Christmas Party in a fun competition. You will have twenty (20) subjects and can be as creative in the post editing process as you wish.

Identify each photo with:

Your first initial

Your last name

The category subject

Description

(ie: VBrazil: Liquid Water From Sprinkler)

Editing allowed

**Put images on a CD or flash drive and submit before or by the second meeting in October to be judged and presented at the Christmas Party in December.

Do as many images as you can and turn in what you have.

Resize your images making the longest side of the image 1024 pixels. All of your images must be resized so they aren't so large and are easier to deal with.

Participation by as many members as possible makes it all the more fun.

The self portrait should identify the photographer in a creative manner.

A prize will be award to the participant with the highest points.

If we cannot make it to the meeting on October 21st, is there an address where we can send in our flash drive?

Hi Carol, If you are not able to be at the meeting you can mail a CD or Flash Drive to me.

Hi, I can't quite find when the hunt was announced...I just want to make sure the images I have fit the guidelines. Thanks a lot!

Mark, did you get questions answered? Brian is correct in that any pictures between January or February and the meeting in October when the images are turned in will work for the Scavenger hunt. Have fun with the categories, think outside the box and see what you come up with. Good luck!

Thanks you guys, that's great! Now to get organized and make sure I have it all together! This is a great idea, thanks for running with it!!

Dave, I sometimes like to creatively interpret the category subject. The pictures need to be taken between the time the scavenger hunt was announced and the turn in date. The point is to have fun and push yourself to get out and shoot!

Dave, these are great questions that you bring up. NW Trek and a game farm would work fine. Animals in captivity, is where I was going with this catigory, not domestic animals though. As for the Race catigory, I had car race, 3 legged race or something like that in mind to begin with but you bring up a good point. All the catagoy are open to individual interpretation though and thinking outside the box is encouraged. The images need to be turned in by the second meeting of October. I believe that is Oct. 17th. Thanks for the questions.

A couple of questions about the categories. Will NOrthwest Trek, or the Olympic Game Farm, count as a zoo? Is race the fast car type or the skin color/heritage type, or is that open to individual interpretation? What time frame do the images need to have been produced?

I missed putting in some important information for the Scavenger Hunt. I'm so sorry!

    Thank you

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
