300 Strong

Eastside Incubator is now 300 members strong, and this is a good size. If you have not taken a chance to browse through the member directory, give it a whirl. If somebody has an idea you like, an expertise you would like to learn more about, or a need you can address, reach out to them...I will wait for you to get back:

Are you interested in dedicated office space?

A couple of folks have expressed interest in dedicated office/desk space. If you are interested, let me know. There is a space that is available in the same office park, but with an additional 1000 square feet of office space (the same quality as the little entry room at the current space, but about 10 times as big). Ballpark rates would be $200 for a dedicated desk and $650 for a dedicated office. Email matt@dyor.com if you are interested in more information. If you prefer lower cost warehouse space, that will still be available (www.EastsideIncubator.com/pricing).

Getting a Killer Startup Job

Eat some pizza and listen to Bryan Starbuck's talk on getting a killer startup job-what could be better? Bryan has presented twice before at Eastside Incubator, and both presentations were well received and highly rated. If you have friends or collegues who are interested in getting into the startup world, please let them know. RSVP here:

Weekly Ruby on Rails has moved to Tuesday from 5-9 PM!

Whether you are a moonlighter who cannot make it during the day, a parent who needs to pick up the kids at 6, or a fire eating startup who spends 25 hours a day coding, everybody can make it for at least part of the new Ruby on Rails meetup. Mei will soon be developing a speaker/topic curriculum so that you can learn from the Rails and Ruby experts in the region. Get involved early to get your topics of interest covered early. TA McCann - CEO Series

What better way to get ready for the 4th of July than to hear TA talk on the 2nd of July (that is a strange way of saying that we are shifting the CEO series from Wednesday to Monday in July, because Wednesday is the 4th of July). RSVP here:

Startup Video Day

We are looking to identify people in the region who are excited about video. We are hoping to put on a great event on August 11. Please sign up today and tell any of your video inclined friends to sign up today. We will let you know as the plans formalize. It is going to be epic (as only video can be). Sign up to get involved here:

News Outside Eastside Incubator

Sign up for the Conceivian Startup Day event on Wednesday, June 27 5:30 right up the street at ThinkSpace. The folks at Conceivian have done an outstanding job lining up speakers, and this promises to be an excellent event. Here is a quick summary:

The event will feature seven TED-style talks by recognized start-up experts followed by a panel discussion moderated by Bryan Brewer of Business Plans Northwest. Throughout the course of the evening you will learn exactly how to identify the most common and deadly start-up mistakes and the simple steps you can take to put your start-up on the right path.
