We finalized a date for the trip to Virginia (May 8-9th) and currently we have all 9 spots filled. Going to be an awesome trip: deer ecology, gun safety, marksmanship, field dressing, butchering, and cooking. Plus some thoughts on ethical hunting, eating, and health. Jackson is also preparing some home-brewed mead for us. Pretty awesome.
All spots are taken, but if anyone would like to be on a wait list should any of us not be able to attend, then post something on the message board. If it comes to it, we'll roll a die or something fair.http://www.meetup.com/Eating-Paleo-in-NYC/messages/boards/thread/8791078
We are driving down in two cars, leaving Friday afternoon (probably one lunchtime and one after work). One car is provided, one we'll get a zip car and split the costs. Most people will be able to stay at a friend's place, so minimal cost there. Returning early Monday morning. So few costs besides that of the seminar at $340.
Here's a description on Jackson's blog, plus a little shout-out to us. You'll also notice he gave us a group discount. If anyone wants to sign up for his April 10-11 seminar, have at it.http://rule-303.blogspot.com/2010/03/april-deer-hunting-class-is-scheduled.html
