What we’re about
A group to discuss economics and investing. Here is the idea for this group in a nutshell. I spend a decent amount of time trying to determine where the economy is headed. Like many other business owners my ability to predict where the economy is headed impacts my bottom line. I thought it might be useful to have a group of people to meet on a biweekly basis to talk about the national and local economy. This group could be useful for business owners, people whose job responsibilities include strategic planning, those looking to increase returns from personal investments and people that just love analyzing and talking about economics.
There are a lot of people that give talks on this subject but frequently they have an agenda or a product to sell.
Sample issues could be inflation, national and local job growth/loss, foreign currency, or the potential impact of current events.
What this group is not. It’s not a networking group. Don't attend if you plan to push a product you sell (commodities, real estate, life insurance, beanie babies, etc). Also if your basic view of economics is that if candidate X is elected everything will be great and if candidate Y is elected everything will be horrible this is probably not the group for you. Lastly everyone is expected to be respectful of others and their views and opinions.
