EdTech in Orlando: TeachLivE & LearnEverywhere

Did you know that Orlando is home to some amazing EdTech products and startups? This month we'll be featuring two products that are poised to make some significant headway in improving education.

This is the first of our demo types of meetings, which we hope to do often. If you know of other awesome edtech projects that would be interested, please let us know!

TeachLivE

Everyday, new teachers walk into classrooms full of students with little experience working with real students. With experience, they get better. Sometimes, at the expense of the students. TeachLivE allows teachers to continue to get experience, learn new skills and to craft their practice without placing “real” students at risk during the learning process.

We'll have Dr. Carrie Straub, Research Director, showing us this amazing project, and letting us know more about visiting the TeachLivE lab on campus.

Learn Everywhere

Learn Everywhere is a mobile learning platform built to improve long-term retention utilizing the "spacing effect. The “spacing effect” is a learning principle that demonstrates the effect of time on the strength of a memory.

Joshua Johnson, Founder, will be there to speak to us about it.
