Baltimore EdTech Meetup :: BmorePipeline :: w/ YearUp & BusyGrad

Details

It's the December edition of the Baltimore EdTech Meetup! And this month we're being sponsored by Code for America!

Come chat and network with technologists, educators, and others interested in the exciting developments in Baltimore edtech.

First up will be BusyGrad (http://busygrad.com/) — a young startup piloted at Johns Hopkins University and dedicated to facilitating communication between grad students.

Then we’ll hear from Scott Robertson about how Year Up (http://www.yearup.org/) increases opportunity for urban young adults. Year Up’s mission dovetails perfectly with the newly created BmorePipeline (http://www.bmorepipeline.org/) — a wiki project designed to help students gain mentors and internships in Baltimore’s tech community.

The team of students, teachers, technologists, and community members building the BmorePipeline will present their work and invite the community to take part as the Pipeline itself is Baltimore’s entry into Code for America’s “Race for Reuse (http://brigade.codeforamerica.org/pages/race-for-reuse)” national civic coding competition.

Please RSVP (http://meetup.edtechlink.org/) to attend the meetup. We’ll see you December 3rd at 6pm at DHF’s headquarters located at 1414 Key Highway in Baltimore.
