Come to the Ed Tank, a take on the TV show Shark Tank. Educational technology entrepreneurs will present their tools to the audience. Audience members should give critical feedback to these early stage tools to make sure they really attack problems in education.

Here are the companies that will be presenting their ed-tech tools:

Haystack EDU (http://www.haystackedu.com/) is a national online platform created by a former teacher that efficiently and effectively helps match great teachers with schools and other opportunities. It is the first site built for teachers that has profiles on every one of the 130,000 K-12 schools across the country. This is a free service for teachers. This system makes a teachers ability to impact kids and grow their career substantially easier through providing them an easy way to find and be found for great opportunities including full-time jobs, professional development, and much more.

Tutti Music Player (http://www.tuttiplayer.com/) provides everyone with the opportunity to practice their music with masters and share content with friends through interactive software. The software records master musicians’ performances that can then be purchased for use on the iPad along with an educational toolbox that allows audio mixing, video angle selection, looping, scrollable sheet music, and intuitive navigation. The Tutti Music Player is available for classroom or individual use. More than 250 schools are now using the platform.

Newsela (http://Newsela.com) is an online tool that differentiates non-fiction texts based on reading levels. students can read engaging texts at their level and answer Common Core aligned questions. Teachers get rich data that show the progress of individual students towards mastering the Common Core.

Noteboard (http://noteboard.com/) delivers messages (NOTES) directly to students between, before and after classes. NOTES are relevant, intriguing and motivational -- and they're guaranteed to get students' attention. Post your NOTE in classrooms and on the website to allow students to better interact with your message. With Noteboard it's attractive, it's easy, and it works.
