Teaching Anti-Racism Workshop Series

Details

Please join us for the third session in a series of four workshops focused on anti-racism and practical strategies for exploring race with students. In this workshop series, local teachers will thoughtfully share, discuss & practice teaching strategies that will help students dismantle racism in their schools, communities and lives.

While all educators are welcome to join this inquiry to action group, these workshops are particularly focused on PK-12 educators currently in classrooms or working with students as we will be sharing about our current practices and working together to plan and implement new classroom strategies. We encourage all participants to consider bringing resources to share with the group (books, lesson plans, etc.).

Special notes on workshop location: If the letters over the door you're about to walk into say "Gateway Michael" or "Gateway Elementary", you can still reach the middle school by entering in those doors and making a left. Continue walking down the winding hallway and through the cafeteria. Go through another set of doors and you'll enter into the middle school side. Once there, take the first staircase on the right to the second floor. If you'd prefer to drive to the other side, that works too. Gateway Middle's parking lot is just south of the Elementary lot off of Jefferson.
