Hello, everyone, this is a group for online learning, distance learning, e-learning, academic technologists, etc. who want to share knowledge and keep abreast of the best and most cost-effective internet learning solutions and platforms in place at the cutting edge campuses and elsewhere. If you worked or have worked in academia in some facet of educational technology and want to keep up, and be aware of coming trends, let's talk and share!
Suggested format: let's have perhaps 1 in 2, or 1 in 3 meetings "distance learning" so we can try out and demo for each other various platforms.
Suggested content: In addition to member sharing and demos, how about we take together as a group one or two opencourseware courses ABOUT distance learning; sounds like it might be fun to do and contribute to the learning and discussion as a group, rather than individually. What do you think?
