Help us celebrate summer at the Einstein’s Alley Musicians Collaborative’s family-friendly 1st Annual Summer Music Party. This is a fundraiser to benefit the Princeton Elks Special Children’s Fund.
The theme for the evening is:
In honor that today is the Summer Solstice, we are defining this theme very broadly.
These may be:
"Summer Songs from any genre or decade” - Anything from Gershwin’s “Summertime” to Blotto’s “I Wanna be a Lifeguard” is fair game!
"Traveling/Road Trip Songs” – Because Summer’s here and the time is right to hit the road!
"Songs that remind you of a particular summer” - (When I think of the Summer of ’79, I think “My Sharona”)
Selected songs may be from any genre or decade. They may or may not be well known, or they may even be your own compositions.

WHAT TO BRING: Please your instruments*, $15 and a song or two. Cash bar.
Unlike our past music parties, we will not be doing a potluck meal. Instead, your $15 entry fee will not only benefit the Elks Special Children fund, but will also provide you 2 meal tickets for pizza, snacks, etc.
To request a time slot, please email (email@example.com ) or message: [masked])
The official sign-up sheet is now posted and will be updated frequently at the following link:
As in the past, you may participate in two ways, or you may feel free to come and just enjoy the fun:
1)Performance style - you perform solo or collaborate with one or more musicians from EA and play as a closed group
2) Jam style - you lead a jam with the idea of engaging most other musicians in the room, open style or directed
Music slots will go from 7:30-11:00PM, 10 minutes each including setup time. Subject to availability, double segments may be requested. (Note – if we are oversubscribed, double slots will need to be reduced to a single segment).
*We will provide a PA, monitors, several electronic keyboards, basic amp rigs, and a drum kit. Any heavy equipment must be set up by 7PM.
If you are in need of fellow musicians to collaborate with, please post your wishes on our new Summer Music Party discussion board, email any member through their profile, or contact one of our Meetup's organizers:
We look forward to seeing you on June 29th!
Let the Summer music and collaboration begin!
