Talk
In the first part of this talk Pere will introduce you to Logstash, a tool for managing events and logs. Logstash, part of the ELK stack, can be use to collect logs, parse them, and store them for later use.
In the second part Pablo will show you how they use it at Relayr, where they monitor their applications and system using the ELK stack. He will share with you his experiences and learnings about deploying ELK in production.
Bio
Pere is a software engineer at Elasticsearch and prolific open source contributor. He’s spent more than a decade as a technologist, honing his love of data and databases as a researcher and coder. Pere has also spoken at many conferences worldwide, with a particular focus on graph processing and bringing meaning to your data sets. He’s proud to be the organizer of the first ever Graph Processing Developer Room at the annual FOSDEM conference.
Beginners
Parallel to the talk we will have a beginners gathering with insights into Elasticsearch. Florian prepared some basics that are useful to know in the beginning. There will be room for your questions.
