Talk

For more than two years now, CenterDevice is using an Elasticsearch cluster to power its search functionality. And while most things just run incredibly smoothly with Elasticsearch, every now and then it happens that something unexpectedly bites you, usually in production, and you wished you had known before. This talk summarizes best practices and gotchas - with a focus on performance aspects - gathered from our use of Elasticsearch over the last two years.

Patrick Peschlow studied Computer Science at the University of Bonn and holds a PhD in Communication and Distributed Systems. He works at codecentric and is Head of Development of the cloud startup CenterDevice where he builds a highly scalable platform to easily store, find and share data.

Beginners

Parallel to the talk we will have a beginners gathering with insights into Elasticsearch. Florian prepared some basics that are useful to know in the beginning. There will be room for your questions.

We are happy to welcome you!
