Adding Elasticsearch To An Existing .NET / SQL Server Application presented by Craig Lebowitz of NGP VAN

Craig will demonstrate how NGP VAN added Elasticsearch on top of an existing .NET/SQL Server application to improve its search capabilities.  He will focus on how changed data in the RDBMS flows into the index in near real time and how Elasticsearch supports multitenancy. Craig will show how to apply this approach to any application using SQL Server.

Craig is enterprise architect at NGP VAN and has been advocating and using Elasticsearch for the past nine months.  NGP VAN's web applications are used by progressive political campaigns of all sizes: from Joe for Dog Catcher to Barack Obama for President.

Craig did an amazing job presenting on how NGP VAN has rolled out their ElasticSearch integration over the last 6-9 months. The presentation was detailed, highly technical, and provided realistic & pragmatic insights into the kinds of concerns you'll have to quickly address as you move along the ElasticSearch adoption curve. Thanks for presenting Craig and thank you for hosting NGP VAN!

Anyone available to tape next week's meetup? I'll be with you in spirit, but that doesn't help much when it comes to sharing the talks more widely. Thanks in advance if you're able to volunteer.

    Cheers,
    LH
