We've created a network of these music groups (currently in London, Brighton and Southampton) to satisfy the following aim:
To create an open minded music scene based around electronic music or music with electronic components. It will enable intelligent musicians, bands and fans to network, form friendships and overall, form an interlinking community across several cities.
We've no doubt that the hard work and positive attitude we are putting into this project will create many new fresh sounding and interesting bands, events, club nights, parties and social occasions.
It will also help to support the music we love and the bands who're playing it, but maybe more importantly, it will help us all to keep up to date with what is an exciting and vibrant music scene.
To give you an idea of the sort of musical spectrum we are talking about have a look at this list of bands (in no particular order of importance):
Aphex Twin, Autechre, Bjork, Covenant, Depeche Mode, Goldie, Grooverider, Idiot Pilot, DJ Hell, Laurent Garnier, Layo & Bushwacka, Mr. Scruff, Murcof, Plaid, Radiohead, Orbital, Susumu Yokota, The Future Sound of London, Two Lone Swordsmen, UNKLE, Starkey, Adam F, 4 Hero, Air, Cinematic Orchestra, David Bowie, DJ Shadow, Faithless, Front Line Assembly, Nine Inch Nails, Ian Brown, Infected Mushroom, Lamb, Krust, Roni Size & Reprazent, LTJ Bukem, London Elektricity, Massive Attack, Me'shell Ndegeocello, Ministry, Roots Manuva, Sneaker Pimps, The Herbaliser, VNV Nation, The Birthday Massacre, Kraftwerk, Shpongle, Hallucinogen, The Beastie Boys, KMFDM...
As you can see, quite a diverse and eclectic grouping of bands... (but hopefully you can see the common thread running through).
Cheers,
Darryl.
