"Power Advocacy - A Parent's Guide to Procedural Safeguards"
One a year, your school district or public charter school must provide you with a "Procedural Safeguards Notice" (PSN) that lists and explains your child's and the family's rights, including how to request mediation or a special education hearing, or how to file a complaint about a decision that the school has made.
In his presentation, Mr. Weiner will review the PSN, discuss the meaning of each provision, and provide examples of how they can be utilized to enhance advocacy for your child.
Mr. Weiner is an attorney with extensive experience in representing children with disabilities and their families in matters related to educational supports and rights in Pennsylvania (www.charlesweinerlaw.com)
