What we’re about

This meditation group has been gathering monthly for over 9 years, and we have practitioners who have been with us since the beginning, as well as brand new attendees each month. Beginners and experienced practitioners are welcome. In fact, EVERYONE is welcome.

While meditation is rooted in Buddhist philosophy, you do not need to identify as Buddhist, or anything at all for that matter! We have members who have active religious lives, and many others who have been turned off by the dogma of religion. The techniques of mindfulness and insight meditation that we practice are applicable to all of life so we invite you to come see for yourself what meditation is all about!

During our gathering we will practice guided meditation with instruction in both the Insight/ Mindfulness Meditation (Vipassana) style of meditation as well as in the Dzogchen style of meditation. Meditation guidance is offered to cultivate open non-judgmental awareness both internally and externally. We will learn how to work skillfully and non-reactively to all points of possible experience. Following the period that includes instruction for meditation support and focus for practice suggestions, we will have a period (approximately 15 minutes) in shared silent meditation. Following the sitting period there will be time for questions and a short spiritual discussion.

Donations are always appreciated and never required!
