WHY: Research shows Emotional Intelligence plays a very big role in the critical areas of our life; Its overall predictive power is 55% which include:

25% of your general health (physical health and stress management); 31% of your relationship quality (networking & support); 50% of personal efficiency (the ability to achieving result); and 43% of your qualify of life (life satisfaction).

WHAT: There are many different EQ definitions, the one we tend to agree with the most would be: EQ is the Ability to Effectively Blending Thinking & Feelings, My interest & Others Interest, plus long term goal & immediate objective for Optimal Decision Making.

As shown above, we will start with an Action Model called "KCG Model" (Know-Choose-Give Model).   We are also open to bring in other models that can help this community to sustain the learning and personal growth.  We are dedicate to bringing EQ into Action in all walks of life including schools, families, communities and organizations.  Eventually, we hope to grow together for greater success in both life and workplace, with happiness and strength!

We believe EQ is a set of solid competencies that everyone can learn and practice; typical questions to be answered here include but not limited to: How can I manage my feeling and emotions, i.e. anger and stress?How do I speak in a way that people will listen? How can I see new opportunities in challenging situation?How can I be more happy and content in my life?  How can I motivate someone to try something new/different?

We don’t promise miracles here, but if you are willing to invest sometime for creative solutions, you will be a hero and change maker of your own life.

WHO: If you are facing any of these situations, it is definitely for you:

- Overwhelmed with intense emotions from myself or others, struggling to get over it and move forward;

- Can’t convince my children to do something or stop doing something;

- Can’t get my associates to try something new or different.

How: We believe in the power of learning as a group. The facilitators will share knowledge’s and skills; Participants will engage in reflections, interactions and activities. Both are equally important for personal learning and growth.

In addition, we will launch sub-groups with different themes. EQ#101 will kick off in July 2014.

Others:  Attendees are requested to be mindful at all times of their own personal emotional well being and the care and support of others in the group. If you have concerns about your own ability to remain emotionally and psychologically well in a group where deep life issues are being addressed we urge you to seek professional medical or psychological care. The group facilitators, while experienced healers and coaches, are not acting as licensed healthcare professionals and cannot be responsible for your personal care in a meetup group setting.

In addition, we require a small fee to increase attendance rate.  The fund will cover light refreshment, water and its preparation.  The fee is non-refundable, so please make sure you can attend before RSVPing.  If you cancel, you lose the RSVP fee regardless of how far out you cancel. If you cancel in less than 24 hours, it will be treated like a No Show, in addition to losing the fee.  After three No Shows you will be asked to no longer RSVP.  You may attend as a guest of someone in the group who has RSVPd and indicated they are bringing a guest.  We hope this is reasonable. We're trying to be considerate of everyone who genuinely wants to attend.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
