Stan Waterman Presenatation November 3rd at 7PM for Capt. Zero Scholarship
Details
On Wednesday, November 3rd at 7pm the SISD will sponsor a presentation by Stan Waterman, iconic underwater cinematographer for "The Deep" and "Blue Water White Death" and subject of a Discovery Channel documentary "The Man Who Loves Sharks". In fact, it is safe to say that Stan started loving sharks long before it was fashionable and still at 80+ leads an annual expedition to the South Pacific to dive with these Denizens of the Deep.
Stan will present his uw images in honor of Captain Joe "Zero" Terzuoli, who died last year diving the Northeast Atlantic off his boat, the John Jack. All proceeds of the event will go to the Captain Zero Scholarship Fund, to help create new Northeast divers in memory of one of the strongest proponents of Northeast diving in history.
Admission is $40 which includes dinner and the presentation. And SISD members in good standing get $10 off, even if you join that night (dues are $40 and you get all of 2011 as well).
Location is Ruddy & Dean, a steakhouse located across from the Staten Island Ferry at 44 Richmond Terrace, Staten Island, NY 10301. The food is always great and the view of NY Harbor and Manhattan is breathtaking!
Please join us for this fun evening dedicated to a worthy cause.
If there are any questions, please give me a call.
