Cambridge Search Meetup - Cassandra & Solr

Details
Jeremy Hanna will give our first talk, an introduction to Apache Cassandra, a highly scalable NoSQL database. (https://twitter.com/sbtourist)
Sergio Bossa (https://twitter.com/sbtourist) is our second speaker: Sergio is a pragmatic programmer, distributed systems practitioner and long time open source contributor. He works for DataStax (http://www.datastax.com/), currently focused on making Cassandra (http://cassandra.apache.org/) the best database and search platform around. His talk is titled Scalable (Near)Real-Time Search with DataStax Enterprise Search: "In a world where data is worth billions, effectively storing and searching such data is paramount. With DataStax Enterprise Search, the performance, scalability and high availability of Apache Cassandra meet the full-text search powers of Apache Lucene/Solr (https://lucene.apache.org/solr/), providing a solid database and search solution."
Datastax have kindly offered to sponsor this Meetup where we'll have the usual array of free drinks, snacks and friendly networking.
