Our motto is "A Family Away from Home" as we see ourselves as an extended family for Overseas Singaporeans in the UK and Ireland, and as part of the international community of Overseas Singaporeans.
We are a grassroots-level organisation for Overseas Singaporeans resident in the UK or Ireland, whether for reasons of study, work or permanent resettlement, and their families and friends. We organise events on a regular basis to bring our members together and also work with other Singaporean-organised groups in the UK and link with OS communities in other parts of the world, and with returnees in Singapore.
Former Singaporeans need not feel excluded. You are still our brother or sister by blood and cultural ties and part of the family, and that will never change - please feel free to join and participate!
Note from San re. correspondence: any member wishing to correspond with me please do NOT hide your email address in your message if you wish to receive a reply. It wastes a lot of my time having to search for your name on the membership list (as we have some 400+ members!) to reply to you otherwise. If you want to be secretive, that is fine with me, but then do not write to me expecting a reply.
We recommence our "monthly" dim sum meet (yes, I know we haven't had one of these since the late summer!) with a lunch on Saturday, 28th November. The dim sum lunch will be held at Harbour City Chinese Restaurant along Gerrard Street, which we have used before.
This lunch will be held in conjuction with the Expat Malaysian group. For a list of attendees from that group please see http://expatmalaysian...![]()
