Magdalene St. Louis: Love Heals

  • June 23, 2013 · 10:30 AM
  • Univ. of MO Extension Center

Dr. Richard P. Seiter will talk about Magdalene St Louis, a newly-formed organization that helps women who have survived lives of abuse, prostitution, trafficking, addiction and life on the streets by providing a community where they can recover and rebuild their lives.

Dr. Seiter is a career correctional administrator whose 35-year career spans federal and state government, public and private corrections, and practical experience and academia.  He has served in various leadership capacities, as director of a state department of corrections, assistant director of the federal prison system, and chief corrections officer of the largest private prison company in the U.S.  He has also been recognized by the most prestigious award in corrections, the E.R. Cass Award, presented annually by the American Correctional Association.

After the program, please join us for our monthly potluck lunch for some delicious homemade food with great company! New visitors are invited to attend as our guests.

*Please Note:  Our monthly Food Pantry collection is this Sunday. And, SEEK kids will be collecting items and change for Five Acres Humane Society.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
