The Gift Economy is a powerful way for us to give and receive to each other freely that means less dependence on money, more opportunities to give our most precious gifts and skills, and the ability to get what we need without worrying about whether we can pay for it. Also it gives us a way to make the exchanges of our life about caring and relationship rather than the neutrality of money.
At the Eugene Gift Circle we meet to share what we have to give and receive with one another, and set up times to actually make it happen.
If Gift Circles are a new concept for you and you want to learn more, we recommend Sacred Economics by Charles Eisenstein, available to read free on line. Chapter 18 is especially pertinent to gift circles. You absolutely do not have to do any reading to come to a gift circle!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
