Ever been to a developing country and wondered how you can help the locals you meet? One man has taken their suffering to heart and decided to something extraordinary. Cycling 2000 km from Seattle to San Francisco, on under $3 a day (the daily budget of 1.3b people suffering extreme poverty), Chris Ball, an Australian entrepreneur and adventurer, will be supporting Spark* International, a US/Australian not-for-profit enabling local people in Africa and the Pacific with local solutions to end poverty.

Come listen to Chris as he stops in Eugene to share an in-depth analysis of not only the work of Spark* and the local changemakers they've enabled, but also the failures, what they've learned, and thoughts on the future. As the CEO of travel website AdventureHoney, Chris will share his experience as a Spark* partner. As a social for-profit enterprise owner, he'll share what he has learned (successes and failures) about the commercial challenges of leveraging the 'social good element' as a way to not only do good, but to be more profitable.
