Description:

Start your weekend with this scenic ride through apple country. Travel through back roads that cover Stow, Harvard, Bolton and Berlin. Along the route you will see beautiful views and working farms. All routes are hilly but worth the climbs for the views and descents. The long ride will pass Bolton Orchards and Berlin Orchards for food and water. Medium ride will pass Bolton Orchards. This is essentially the Honey Pot Orchard Ride for those who missed it due to rain.

This is a re-occuring ride every Sunday beginning in April, with the organized and marked rides of CRW (Charles River Wheelmen). The picture above is from one of last years rides. Don't let the # of RSVPs here fool you, these rides are always well atended usually with over 25 riders of all abilities.

The distances and routes vary every week. We'll have "No Drop Rule" so you won't have to worry about getting lost or keeping up. Ride with us if you ride anywhere from 15 to 20 MPH.

Always bring two spare tubes, and your preferred hydration and nutrition. We don't typically stop for lunch but depending on the ride, there are sometimes options to stop for a bit. Before riding it's good practice to get your bike tuned. Remember to dress for the elements.

Also CRW organizes a Spring Century (http://crw.org/century.php?event=s), a Summer Century called Climb to the Clouds (http://crw.org/CTTC/climb2clouds.php), and a Fall Century (http://crw.org/century.php?event=f). All of the Centuries have organized food and water stops. I'm hoping to get a group committed to building up to these Century rides.
