This is a short walk up to the top of Skinner Butte. Might be half an hour.
Here's roughly our route.
We'll meet at the replica of Eugene Skinner's 1846 pioneer cabin, then head up to the top of Skinner Butte on the north side. We'll enjoy the view from the top and come back down the other side, passing the hexagonal basalt climbing wall and the original site of the cabin. If we're lucky, we might find some ripe blackberries on the way.
I think it's about 200 feet of elevation gain so you can get a little cardio after work, but this is only a little harder than a stroll. That said, you may want to bring some water. It's hot out this week.
We have a lot of new members and a lot of members who signed up but haven't come to meet new people yet. The time to get out and have fun is now.
