Dinah Shi will speak on Clean Code: The (Underrated) Art of Naming. There’s a saying that goes, “There are only two hard things in Computer Science: cache invalidation and naming things.” In this talk, Dinah discuss why naming is such a difficult problem, commonly made mistakes, and some guidelines for making meaningful names.

Stefan Ianta will speak about applying evolutionary design patterns to build software. Is it possible to build functional software automatically? Nature seems to think so as genetic code has been constantly re-combining and evolving to create functional biological life for millions of years. What if we applied similar evolutionary design patterns to building software? We will do just that in 2 simple demos, and then see how this process can be adapted for your own software projects, while at the same time creating a new way to develop software in a “smart market” of microservices.
