Bring your camera! This tour will take us through the lovely streets of Brooklyn Heights, America’s first suburb, NYC’s first designated historic district, filled with landmarks and architectural treasures. Some say it is the City's most beautiful neighborhood. We will stop by a church where Abraham Lincoln visited and gained inspiration to issue the Emancipation Proclamation, and stroll the streets frequented by famous writers including Walt Whitman, Truman Capote and Carson McCullers. We’ll take in the spectacular views of the city and the harbor as we make our way to Fulton Ferry and DUMBO, areas with a unique history and ambiance. You can even take a ride on a restored carousel overlooking Manhattan and check out some local art galleries. We'll enjoy sharing some Brooklyn humor and folklore. After all many of America's great comedians hail from Brooklyn including Woody Allen, Eddie Murphy, Mel Brooks, Chris Rock and Joan Rivers, to name a few! We’ll also visit the spot where General George Washington and the American Army saved the American Revolution on a foggy night in 1776.
After the tour there are plenty of options for lunch or a drink.
