Walk, Shoot, and Cleanup Along the Green Hill Park Greenway

Want some exercise or something for non-photographer family?
Plenty of trails, playgrounds, sports fields, and picnic areas by the river. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

Like photo contests?
Roanoke Valley Greenways has a photo contest going on this summer and they're looking for shots of pretty views/nature/scenes/etc as well as activities happening on the greenway. (More info about the contest: http://www.greenways.org/photocontest/default.asp )

Looking for a little civic service in your meetup?
We'll have some cleanup operations happening (mostly trash pickup) to help pretty things up for those shooting for the photo contest and just so we can leave the world a little better than we found it. Bring some work gloves if you'd like to help with the cleanup!

Just want a relaxing day with some nature photography thrown in?
Check out the trail system up the hill and away from the crowds. Lots of plants and animals to capture!
