COINFEST 2014 - Let's explore "Bitcoin Village"

On Saturday, February 15th-16th, shops and restaurants across downtown Vancouver will be celebrating CoinFest 2014, where shopkeepers and restaurateurs (yep, spelled without an 'n') alike will be dealing in Bitcoin!

On this festive occasion, Vancouver's "Bitcoin Village" will be hosting art shows, musical performances, tech demonstrations, and a whole bevy of card, video, and board games, all to celebrate the worldwide surge in Bitcoin’s popularity. Maybe we can jump in on a 'Decentralized Dance Party' (cuz they'll be there!), then peruse the Bitcoin art exhibit, and finally, rake in some bitcoin at the 'Bitcoin Poker Room'.

On day 2 of this event, there will also be a conference where one can get the latest on all the happenings in the fast-paced world of cryptocurrency.

Last but not least, there will also be over half a bitcoin in prizes up for grabs for visiting participating locations and getting a Bitcoin Village Stampcard filled up! Let's wheel and deal (walk around and play some games), and try to win some free bitcoins!

Tentative Schedule:

• meet at India Gate Restaurant (The Coinfest Poker and Games Room)

• pick up event map and Bitcoin Village Stampcard (to be eligible for prizes)

• chat for a bit

• head out to explore venues

• return to India Gate to hand in stampcard and game for a bit while waiting for prizes to be announced

• after-party
