When: Friday, May 6, 2011 5:00 PM

Where: Espace
635 W. 42nd St.
New York, NY 10022

****ATTENTION NY/NJ animal activists!!!****

Come and help FAUN group as we demonstrate our disgust for the obscene Foie Gras industry at one of world's most prestigious Culinary Awards Events, The James Beard Foundation Awards (2011) in New York City. Hundreds of well-known chefs from around the country and the world will be in NYC to participate in this at the posh Events Hall Espace on 42nd St; THIS is a perfect opportunity for us to exhibit our anger and disgust at the filthy, insidious Foie Gras industry, which is the nemesis of geese and ducks, responsible for the misery, torture and death of countless hundreds of thousands of them every year, because of unscrupulous peoples' disgusting, diseased, pseudo-aristocratic culinary/palate preferences. The James Beard Foundation categorically, resolutely, gleefully CELEBRATES Foie Gras production, kiling and consumption, despite the unthinkable horrors endured by the millions of poor sentient birds who are the unseen victims of this nightmarish, genocidal industry. Advisory - GRAPHIC!:

Needless to say, this is a disgusting, sickening, malignant industry, and we must do what is in our power to voice our dire opposition to it, educating the public and working toward the abolition of the perverse, indulgent symbol of smug aflluence and pretension that is Foie Gras. Please come and help us to do that. Here are the details of this event.

WHAT:FAUN"Abolish Foie Gras,Delicacy of Disease/Death" demo @ James Beard Awds 2011

WHERE: Espace Event Hall, 635 West 42nd St, between 11th & 12th Aves, New York City
WHEN: Friday, May 6th, 2o11
TIME: 5:00pm ~ 9:00pm

PARKING: For NJ and upstate NY activists, there is ample parking in garages in the vicinity of 42nd Street, unfortunately that will generally set one back about $30 for a 4hour time period, so be smart and carpool to split costs if you're coming from outside NYC!

NOTE: As always, FAUN will be providing powerful signs & relevant literture. We will also have a couple of videos running through an amplifier, as well as an array of props and other surprises that will enlighten the public and HORRIFY those who consume the disgusting, slimy, gelatinous ball of sickness & cruelty known as foie gras. If you have foie-gras literature/props/signs or other materials and would like to bring what you have, FEEL FREE, and either way we could DEFINITELY use your help!!

ACTIONS TO TAKE: Call ESPACE Event Hall and let them know, in your own words, that you strenuously oppose their hosting/sponsorship of this horrible celebration of the most extreme and needless forms of animal cruelty, especially foie gras. Let them know that we have better things to do than bring them bad publicity and negative attention, and a simple withdrawl of sponsorship (cancellation of James Beard Awards) would be enough to call us off. ESPACE Event Hall: (212) 967-7003.

Thank you for ACTing on behalf of animals !!!

COME FORWARD, animal lovers, and manifestly demonstrate your love for birds and your DISGUST for those who treat them so horribly. This crap has already been banned in many countries including the U.K; it's way past time for this horror and torture to be banned in the United States as well...Let's speak up for the birds; we are and shall continue to be their voices!

"NO Foie Gras, not in this world, not as long as there is life in our bodies and breath in our lungs!!!"
