Peninsula Fly Fishers -

General Meeting  -- Third Thursday of each month |

Highlands Community Club

1665 Fernside St, Redwood City, CA 94061

Doors open at 7:00PM,  meeting starts at 7:30PM and ends at 9:30PM.
General meetings begin with informal socializing. After the call to order, there are announcements, some fishing stories, some committee reports, and display of raffle items. A brief recess and then the raffle. The featured event of the evening is a presentation by a guest speaker.    The subject vary with speakers covering everything from entomology to rod building but  the vast majority talk about fishing; where, how and when.
Visitors and members' guests are always welcome.  J ust come by the clubhouse and introduce yourself to our membership chair and come in and meet some of the members.
The July and December meetings are banquets (no fly fishing speaker). To attend, you must be a member and you must make reservations.

Join Peninsula Fly Fishers Who should become a member? Anyone with an interest in fly fishing will be welcomed to our club. Young, old, male, female, new to fly fishing or already a pro - you learn, make friends who share your interest, hear from expert speakers, find fishing buddies, become a better fly fisher and you will have fun. The best part is that you probably go out fishing more. How to join? The easiest way to become a member is to fill in our online Membership Application and pay the dues. The membership fee is $36 per year (prorated) and the one-time initiation fee is $15.  Get From The Club & Give To The Club It's as easy as that. When you join you will get a club logo cap, a club logo pin or patch and a club roster with member names, addresses, phone and email, plus interesting and useful info about the club. You may participate in all club activities: meetings, workshops, fishouts and clinics. We hope you will participate in the organizing and running of the club, too. This is a bottom-up, not a top-down club. The club can be whatever you make it to be. There are a number of committees and positions any any interested member may offer his or her services.

    General Meeting - November 15, 7:30pm
Conservation is the topic of the meeting this month. Climate change is changing the fisheries as we know and enjoy them today. With input from the Climate Reality Project, Cal Trout and Trout Unlimited we have put together a great slide show and presentation with stunning facts and amazing pictures that will leave nobody untouched. Reserve the evening and please join me on November 15th for this special night.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
