Feel Free to Toss Out Ideas

Since we have almost 80 members now biggrin and usually 10-15 people come to the meetups--and they are only once a month--I wanted to just let people know that if you have any ideas for other things to do, please make the suggestion. If you would like to have more than one meetup per month (perhaps on a different day if Saturdays aren't good), or have a one-time thing you'd like to do, or anything else that you'd like to do with some of the members, I'd be happy to make it a meetup. Book clubs, bowling, school-based things, pumpkin carving classes, square dancing, prayer circles (just kidding)--anything that you think would be of interest, let me know. It doesn't even have to be a formal thing. If you are just going and have a drink/watch a game/look for coins with a metal detector tongue and want to see who might want to join in, that could be a meetup, too.

There's no reason to limit use of this meetup. It doesn't cost me any extra to add more events. I can even make others a "host" of any event in order to control it.

I just wanted you all to know that there are other options, especially for those who can't make the usual meetup or just don't find it is to your liking. There are few outlets for atheists and I don't want anyone to feel like you're being left out if you want more options or a different kind of interaction with people. The Red River Freethinkers has several monthly events as well, some of which I post as meetups....when I remember!

Just something to think about....

Brian
