Deborah Turner Nationally certified animal cruelty investigator

Deborah is a nationally certified animal cruelty investigator who worked at Houston SPCA (Houston Animal Cops) from 1998 to 2005. She moved to Colorado to be the operations manager for Greenwood Wildlife Rehab center. She is an avid horsewoman of close to 40 years, and currently owns 2 Arb geldings. She is a previous board member for "Save a foal" equine rescue, and currently on the board for Yellow Rose Rescue. She has been an animal control officer and animal cruelty investigator since 1995 - a lot of field experience with loose horses, emaciated and un-socialized horses and rehabilitation of cruelty horses. Deborah will be showing equine seizures that were done in Texas and going over the details of each case. She will also be teaching how to conduct an investigation, the do's and don'ts and what really consists of equine cruelty under the law. Deborah will be speaking on equine behavior as relates to unknown equines that may have abuse/trust and/or nutrition issues. Demonstrations on how to approach an unknown animal, capture it and load into a trailer.
