We are excited to announce that we are headed to go shoot some of Mother Nature's most beautiful creations.

During this week long trip, we will be shooting 5 of the greatest slot canyons in the northern hemisphere.

Maybe even stop and take a shot of the Grand Canyon as well if time permits.

This trip will involve a bit of hiking to get in and out of the canyons, note physical fitness is something to take into account. there are no elevators, escalators, etc. So make sure to bring some good hiking shoes and comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting wet or dirty. In addition to day wear. Jackets, gloves, etc maybe something to bring as the weather could still be cool.

A TRIPOD is a MUST HAVE! Pack light as we will be backpacking in and out of the canyons. No need to bring elaborate lighting gear as most everything we shoot will be available light. You might want to bring a speedlight for some fill if desired. Plenty of memory cards and batteries are some of the items to keep in mind to bring. If you have them or may want to pick up a remote cable release system for your camera system, as this will help aid you in taking long exposures that is if you wish to take long exposures. (On my last visit to the slot canyons, the average exposure time was 20-30 seconds.)

We are working on permission to bring a model to shoot while in the canyons and we will update you on our progress. (Securing the model is not the problem, gaining permission from the Navajo Nation to allow us to bring one in is the hard part.)

**Note that the canyons are on Navajo land and are considered sacred ground.

We will have a Navajo guide along with us to show us all the cool locations and to help keep us out of trouble.

This trip will include all fees for the parks, canyons shoots, hotel, and dinner each night. I have room for only 3 people in my car, so that is what we are going to limit this event to. If you would like to attend and wish to make your own travel arrangements, that is a possibility as well.

I will be road tripping it there, as we will be doing some side shooting on the way there and back. I believe that the nearest airport to Page AZ is in Flagstaff AZ. Flagstaff is 1-2hr drive away from Page.

"It doesn't take a professional to take photos of these natural wonders."

Slot Canyons to be shot include:

Upper Antelope Canyon (A special highlight of the tour, will be the authentic beauty of Native American flute music resonating throughout antelope canyon as played by our guide.)

Rattlesnake Canyon (HINT: It didn't earn it's name because of it's shape)

Owl Canyon (Named for the owls that nest in the canyon - A zoom lens is a must for this canyon.)

I am considering doing a Canyon Night Shoot as well if there is enough interest.

Bonus Shoot:

Fashion Editorial in White Sands, NM.

2 days of One on One fashion mentoring with Duke Morse!

and there may be brain picking, story telling, and secret stealing too!

We will shoot in the mornings and go over post processing in the evening.

We will be stopping off in New Mexico on our way back from the Antelope Canyon trip and shooting a fashion editorial there at White Sands!

Our Model(s) for this event will be supplied by the Wilhelmina Agency in El Paso-Wilhelmina Bazaar. We may also be pulling models from the FORD Agency in Scottsdale, AZ or The Agency AZ. All of whom have top talent.

We will be pulling models from the Wilhelmina Agency out of El Paso for this shoot as well as hair and make up artists and fashion stylists. White Sands is sure to produce some great images. Adding a model and awesome wardrobe to the mix should push those images over the top!

We will push boundaries and create some very memorable and marketable images. If you would like to add some outstanding, creative, and edgy fashion images to your portfolio and have a few days to kill in May. Come out and join the fun. I have also set up the White Sands Editorial as a separate workshop for anyone who would like to fly out and only shoot this part of the trip.

As this is technically a shoot of mine, I am only going to open it up to a very limited lucky few people.

We will be shooting both the morning of the 19th as well as the morning of the 20th (I prefer to shoot when it is cooler and the light is less harsh) So you will have two opportunities to shoot. :)

We will be trying to create images such as these:
