F# on the Desktop with Phil Trelford - live streaming event
Details
Phillip Trelford (https://plus.google.com/101606714289661888029) looks at how to build compelling desktop applications with F#, diving deep on XAML for Windows, while also covering cross platform options using Mono for Mac and Linux. F# is a first-class member of .Net, and as such can leverage a wealth of C# and F# specific client-side libraries, making it a surprisingly good choice for building reliable and responsive applications quickly and easily . Expect plenty of live code samples and plenty of anecdotes from building production line of business and open source desktop apps with F#.
We will also interview Tomas Petricek (https://plus.google.com/116501439178932083947), one of our 2015 Community for F# Heroes!
Speaker
Phil is an active member of the software development community, regularly attending and speaking at user groups and conferences, blogging and contributing to open source projects. He is a co-organizer of the London F# User Group and a founding member of the F# Foundation.
