Lake Sammamish Half

The Lake Sammamish Half Marathon takes runners along the smooth gravel trail that connects Marymoor Park in Redmond to Lake Sammamish State Park in Issaquah. So, who is running and what is your Goal? This is a flat race so can be good for a PR. However, keep in mind it is crowded and a narrow trail. So if you are looking for a PR, head up to the front of the race or you will be jogging pretty slow for the first mile or so.

If anyone needs a one way car ride from Sammamish Park to the starting line at Marymoor, let me know. I have room for 3 passengers.

My bad guys, I saw the messages only now. I was expecting to get notification emails for comments but it seems was having trouble in the past few days...

If anyone wants to meet in the morning, lets meet before the race by the registration/packet pickup tables. I'll shoot to be there about 7am. If you don't see us at the start, we will meet at the finish also. Lets meet on the right side. So as you are running to the finish, look to your right and you should see us cheering you on for your last[masked] feet (Unless you are first!) If you have an FT Running Club shirt, this is a great time to wear it :-) I'll be in my Green RC Shirt.

Hey everyone, So, tomorrow is race day ! The race starts at 7:30, and this is a pretty big race, so be prepared for some traffic in the morning. As Jennifer mentioned below, if you are looking for a PR start farther up because its going to be crowded. The course has changed a bit this year, but looks like you will have the first mile to get into a good position. There are some roads at first so should be some more room to pass. However at mile 1 you enter onto the trail, and that is narrow for the next 10 miles so passing will be harder after that point.

I'm going. Hoping for a PR under 1:48. Thanks for the tip mitch on getting to the front as it's crowded. Are you meeting up at the start or finish line?

I'm hoping for a new PR. Anything under 1:50 will make me smile :-)
