Fabulous Females of Palm Coast was originally started by Jan Avant in July 2009. Mona McPherson took over as the group's organizer on Jan 4, 2011. Deb Brogan is the current co-organizer who helps with all aspects of groups business.
What is this group about? We are a group of women who take turns hosting and planning events for our members. A few examples of our events are meeting up for coffee, lunch, movies, plays, walks, picnics, tours, beach days, road trips and the list goes on. Whatever you’re interested in can become a Meetup event. The goal is to have a community of women who enjoy getting together and building friendships.
What is meant by hosting an event? As a host you’re in charge of organizing your entire event. The host takes care of all arrangements such as calling ahead to a restaurant or organizing a place to meet for a carpool when we drive to out of town places. As host you must bring nametags for everyone to wear so that our members can quickly learn each other’s name. You also need to welcome each member who comes to your Meetup.
All members are required to host at least 1 event per year from their joining date and also to attend at least 3 Meetups per year to remain an active member. If you cannot make the 3 Meetups per year you will be removed from the Meetup but are welcome to join our facebook page where past and present members stay in-touch. Our Meetup site is for active members. If you’re removed for lack of participation, you can rejoin as long as you meet the above requirements.
We discourage anyone from joining with the sole intent of promoting a business. This is a social group.
