FCUG is an independent non-profit club working to enhance knowledge and enjoyment in the use of personal computers (IBM compatible and Apple) and related software, hardware and Internet technologies.
We're a diverse group ranging from students to retirees, from novices to experts, from part-time amateurs to full-time professionals.
Founded in 1980, our mission is to help each other and further the education of club members at all levels.
FCUG members come from many Fairfield County towns (Norwalk, Darien, Danbury, New Canaan, Redding, Ridgefield, Southport, Stamford, Stratford, Trumbull, Wilton, Weston and Westport). We generally have about 25 attendees at a meeting.
Some of membership's advantages are: keeping informed through programs and speakers about new technology, problem solving for your technology; meeting others with similar interests; software reviews; Q&A sessions; website, and our outstanding monthly news magazine "The Voice of FCUG". The group provides an excellent learning environment at all levels of ability.
At our December 1st meeting, we will take a look at a cornucopia of holiday season themed websites and other tech-type items pertaining to this time of year. The sites might be just for fun (games and entertainment) or useful (shopping, travel deals, recipes), or both. Attendees are invited to share a site they have come across that might be of interest to the group. Read more
