Event Description: Fall is the best time for hiking so I thought we enjoy the weather plus get a little history while we are at it. We will hike the Bull Run trail at the Manassas Battlefield Park.

The Manassas Battlefield Park is steeped in history. The site of two major civil war battles the park has two main loops that pass many historic points of interest, including the spot where confederate General Thomas Jackson got his nickname 'Stonewall Jackson'. Within the rolling plains of Virginia the hikes here are appropriate for all ages.

Our hike will begin at the Visitor's Center. It is a 5 mile hike which is estimated to take about 3 hours with a break for lunch. Bring a lunch and plenty of water. We'll have a picnic on the trail. There is a $3 per person entrance fee to the park.
