Companies want to attract more females into their organizations, but they are also concerned about retaining the ones who are present. Sometimes even those most well-intentioned organizations don't have clear strategies for how to do this. Hence, it's up to their employees to show them how, and highlight the endless benefits of a diverse workplace!

I learned from the TED women lectures, that we women quite possibly have an OBLIGATION to speak despite their ideas being very different from most of our colleagues. These ideas include redefining success, so that it includes health and family, caring for others/animals. Also to realize there is a cultural significance to how we speak of these things and the solutions. We are quickly seeing the results of decisions made that did not take health and environment/family into account - a nation of unhealthy people where healthcare is very expensive and the worst quality of all developed nations. WE CAN DEFINITELY do better... now is not the time to be shy. TED women lectures!
