We're bringing Femgineer Forums down to the peninsula! Our September Femgineer Forum will be hosted by Andreessen Horowitz.
Frank Chen, Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, will lead a case study on a potential investment and you’ll get to play the role of the venture capitalist!
In this case study, Frank will address questions such as:
• What metrics are important to a VC?
• What benchmarks should a company meet before approaching an investor?
• What qualities might an investor look for in the founders of a company?
• Does it matter if I have angel/seed investors, and who they are?
We will also have a Q&A session to delve deeper into the world of venture capital and issues facing female founders and employees. We encourage you to use this forum as a chance to gain more insight into a venture backed startup, clarify issues such as startup equity, and learn how to gauge the health of a startup based on investment it has attracted. Please bring your questions and be prepared to gain great insight!
Schedule for the event:
6-7pm Networking and a light dinner
7-8pm Interactive presentation by Frank Chen, Partner at Andreessen Horowitz
8-8:30pm Q&A with Frank, led by Karen Catlin, Co-founder of Femgineer
Please note that this will be a closed event open only to tech professionals: engineers, entrepreneurs, designers, product managers, and product marketers. We apologize but we cannot accommodate recruiters and press. We will also be unable to post slides, tweet, or use any social media during this event.
