When I first discovered the literature of the women's movement in the late '60s, I realized I wasn't "crazy" -- I was a feminist. ;-)
It's an essential part of my identity, it's how I look at everything that's going on in the world. I'm always asking, "is this good for women?"
I like reading and talking about feminist books, or just books by and about women, fiction or non-fiction -- anything to stimulate a discussion of ideas from a feminist point of view. Seeing films, plays, art exhibits, etc., are options too. When we've establish an active core of members, we want to add activism to our activities.
I was a feminist activist in the '60s and '70s. Moved to Denver 2 years ago, from New York, via Chicago.
