Beginners & enthusiasts interested in boffer (LARP style) sword fighting and fencing (including Historical Fencing/Western Martial Arts)
It could be just informal games/sparring or could be run as a class.
What I feel comfortable instructing:
Boffer - single sword, two sword, two-handed sword, staff/spear/pole-arm, sparring games
Historical Fencing (beginners) - English Sabre, Italian Rapier, German Longsword
What I have for gear to share: several action-flex boffer type swords, boffer spear & pole-arm, 2 aluminum longsword wasters, 2 steel federschwerts, 2 rapiers, 1 extra fencing jacket (XXXL) and mask (XL)

Trying to gauge interest in getting enough people together to rent a space.
In the summer time its possible we could just meet in a park or maybe along the Charles. Can't be any worse than people out doing Tai Chi ;)
I'd guess each meetup would be about 2 hours.
It would be great if it could turn into a regular weekly thing.
If its at a martial arts studio or something there are probably waivers to sign.
Obviously, everyone should be conscious of contact levels. I'd probably want to monitor it a little bit at the beginning. Especially if there is interest in the historical fencing.
I also belong to a private advanced group (www.forteswordplay.com) but they don't do any boffer stuff.
And they all kick my a$$ right now, so I need to step it up. :)
What members are saying
“ Great practice! ”
“ We'll attack you with swords if you don't join up. ”
