Intro To Figure Drawing 1--Form and Structure

We're offering the intro to figure drawing in 2 separate classes on 2 consecutive Thursdays to better fit different people's needs. Take one or both!
In this fun fast-paced class, we'll cover all the basics, so it's great for newbies or as a refresher for the old hats. We'll explore:
--Drawing techniques and handling the equipment
--Seeing, and drawing what you see
--Basic shape concepts and how to see them in the figure
--Basics of Perspective
--Basics of human proportion, and how to measure
--Useful tools and guides to help your drawings--and more!
This class will feature a live models for most of the class and will last 3 hours.
you are welcome to bring whatever art materials you're comfortable using, but it is strongly suggested you also get a rough newsprint drawing pad, approx. 14"x 17" or 12"x 18" and some compressed charcoal sticks (Nupastels, Alphacolor drawing chalk or Cretacolor black chalk are also good).
Attendance will be limited to 12 people.
