Todd Geist from Geist Interactive, started using FileMaker Pro in the early 90s when he was working as a biomedical researcher at Washington University in St Louis, MO. In seven years, he co-authored 17 research papers that were published in peer review journals and built hundreds of FileMaker Databases.

In 1997, he left academics to pursue a career in information technology. Since then he has been working almost exclusively with FileMaker Pro. He has written several articles for Advisor Magazine. he has contributed to White Papers published by FileMaker Inc. He has also been a speaker at several FileMaker DevCons, and MacWorlds both here in the US and in he UK.

He lives in Newbury Park, CA with his wife Lori. When Not programming, he enjoys running in the Santa Monica Mountains behind his house, and napping in the hammock in the back yard.
