We are thrilled that Joanna Campbell (http://oliviamcampbell.wix.com/mompty), author and winner of this year's London Short Story Prize, is the festival's short story judge. The competition (http://finchleyliteraryfestival.blogspot.co.uk/p/short-story-competition.html) was recently launched by Greenacre Writers and Finchley Literary Festival. The winners will be announced at Trinity Church Centre, Saturday 25th June at 1.30pm. Joanna will also be discussing her short story collection When Planets Slip their Tracks and her novel, Tying Down the Lion.

Antonia Honeywell (http://www.antoniahoneywell.com/), author of the highly reviewed novel The Ship, and Rosie Canning (http://rosemarycanning.blogspot.co.uk/), whose doctoral research looks at the representation of orphans (https://careleaversinfiction.wordpress.com/) in fiction, will be discussing this subject with readings from classic and contemporary literary texts.

Lindsay Bamfield (http://lindsaybamfield.blogspot.co.uk/) will be interviewing Sunny Singh (http://www.sunnysingh.net/) who, as well as writing three novels including Hotel Arcadia, is a university lecturer and is well known for her political, creative non-fiction and academic writing that has been published across the world in key journals and anthologies.

Vaseem Khan (http://vaseemkhan.com/), whose debut novel The Unexpected Inheritance of Inspector Chopra, is a Times top 10 bestseller will join us to discuss and read from his book. Beware: there may be an elephant in the vicinity.

All three authors will be signing their books sold by Big Green Bookshop (http://www.biggreenbookshop.com/).

The event is free but please reserve a place.
