FREE event to meet employers and recruiters, with FREE beer/food too!

Announcing our third 'Find A Tech Job In London' meetup. This one’s going to be BIG!

Vodafone, Barclays, Facebook, Amazon and Google are just some of the blue chip companies who've recently announced they're investing heavily in London's tech scene. Tech in London is about explode! There's no better time or place to be a developer than right now so come along to our meetup and discover London's Tech potential.

We're excited to announce our third meetup, which is a FREE to attend event, and will be held on Wednesday, 5th of September 2012.

Why should you come along to the event?

  1. You'll meet excellent London based tech talent looking to get hired together with exciting companies and recruiters looking to hire.
  2. FREE quality hot food and drinks courtesy of our sponsors Conex Europe and Jobsite. The venue is fantastic, it’s central, and the area we're hiring for the event will be quiet enough for presentations and networking.
  3. You'll gain a valuable, unique insight into the state of the permanent and contract market with a 15 minute presentation by Jobsite and Conex Europe. The presentation, based on the latest statistics, will be on which tech skills are most required, which types of companies are hiring, the trends, the pitfalls, consider this a career refocusing talk!
  4. Plenty of time for networking, PLUS we have our unique skills and colour badges so you'll be able to match your tech skills or skills requirements quickly and simply without unnecessary introductions.
  5. Short presentations by employers and candidates about who they're looking to hire/work for.
  6. We've timed this event to coincide with the close of the holidays, plus Jobsite and Conex Europe will be promoting the event so attendance will be good.
  7. Individual careers advice.
  8. CV Reviewing service available courtesy of Conex Europe, again FREE of charge.
  9. You’ll actually meet employers and recruiters face to face, who wants to spend 20-30 mins on the phone when you can interact in person?
  10. Meet fellow technologists and operators in Londons tech scene.

Location
The event will take place at Grace, 42-44 Great Windmill Street, London, W1D 7NB, in the Milk Bar area. www.grace-bar.co.uk

Sponsors
Conex Europe (www.conexeurope.com) and Jobsite (www.jobsite.co.uk) are our proud sponsors, they'll be generously sponsoring the hot food and cold drinks for us all, meaning you’ll not only be able to find a great job, but your belly will be satisfied!

Adam Bolton (www.linkedin.com/in/adambolton) from Conex Europe attended our last event and kindly offered to help sponsor this event, Conex were able to put us in touch
with JobSite, meaning that we have a specialist recruiter and an IT focussed job board promoting the event. We could not ask for better sponsors, so make sure that you RSVP ASAP!

Who's welcome?
Developers, employers, recruiters, basically anyone looking for a permanent or contract tech job or to hire a developer \ technologist. Our aim is to make finding a job as efficient as possible, that all!

Format
6:30pm:           Arrive\sign in\meet and greet

7pm:                Presentation by our sponsors, employers and candidates who wish to speak.
7:40pm onwards: One to one networking

Our aim with this event will always be to keep it FREE. We base our calculations for costs on the amount of RSVP’s that we receive – if you respond to the meetup saying that you are coming please turn up or change your attendance before the event, this way we can utilise the funds available from our sponsors, reduce waste and most of all keep it FREE to attend.

I have several years of experience in information technologies, I have been developer, analyst, system administrator and IT manager and freelance as well.
I am looking a job that it may offer to me a great professional challenge. I am technology agnostic, because I think the technology is the channel to success your business, but it is naturally chameleonic, so I think that being keen of one technology (programming language for example) is thinking in technology, not in business success.

If somebody is looking for these skills, doesn't hesitate to keep in touch.

I'm newly moved to London and am excited to get a job in the technology/startup scene. I have a background in Computer Engineering and have business experience in founding and building two companies.

I feel I bring the combination of the engineering/technical side and the business/management side - and an understanding of both can be very useful.
