Overview:
We are a nurturing and supportive group of professional women who gather to help each other navigate the incredibly painful, devastating and often complicated effects of cheating. We are bonded by the common past or present experience either direct or indirect of emotional betrayal. We are also committed to recovery, healing and growth. We provide a safe haven where women can speak freely, share their emotions and be understood by sympathetic, non-judgmental co-members. The foundation of our operational philosophy is the belief that we, individually akin to the First Lady, are American Royalty and must conduct ourselves as such. Central to our progress is high self-esteem and unshakable confidence. Our mission is to support, educate, connect and empower women through their experiences irrespective of the outcome they choose or the stage they are in their journey. We have an unwavering respect for ethics and will not betray each other’s confidences.
Members:
Voluntary over the age of 25 who are committed to helping others and/or wanting help.
What the Group IS:
A positive, empowering and supportive inclusive group of professional women irrespective of race, class, sexual orientation or age (over 25) who share the common experience of infidelity. We are a social group threaded together by a common experience driven to take our swagger back.
What the Group is NOT:
A platform for partner bashing, religious or political conversion, gossip or any other subversive or otherwise negative agendas. It is not a clinical or otherwise formal or informal therapy venue. For that, we encourage interested members to partner with their therapists to identify appropriate support groups.
The group is not affiliated with any group, company, organization or association.
In the Fall of 2011, we will meet twice a month for an hour and 15 minutes (on Thursday evenings) in Jersey City near St. Peter's College in a private location. Light refreshments will be served. Further details are forthcoming based on interest level. Cost of the meetings are a nominal $25.
RSVP:
RSVP is strictly required. First Ladies must rsvp through meetup.com once a date is determined.
