Brooksville Raid Civil War Re-enactment, 5th Annual FCCP visit

Details
The 34th Annual Brooksville Raid with over 1500 Civil War re-enactors takes place the 3rd weekend of every January.
http://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/b/4/7/d/event_20866205.jpegFCCP will capture the drama and excitement of the largest reenactment in Florida. Authentic calvary, canon and infantry units will represent the North and South in the battle.
Members will get a chance to tour both the Union and Confederate camps before the "battle" begins at 2:30 PM This annual event attracts 1000s of spectators from the Suncoast and around the nation. Early arrival is necessary to insure a parking spot. Admission is $8.00 per person (ages 13 and up) and spouses and families are welcome, as always.
Arriving early allows you to stakeout your spot along the front of the battle. Chairs and/or blankets are strongly recommended to preserve your spot and not be relegated to the rear of the crowd.
There are concession stands to get lunch, drinks and snacks throughout the day. Please bring chairs for the battle as the standing can get "tiresome" for some. The Boy Scouts also rent chairs for the afternoon, first come first served.
Those interested in carpooling will meet in the Target parking lot in Clearwater Mall at 7:00 AM. Please email Jeff at FCCP_Director@me.com if you need a ride or can drive.
There will be an optional gathering following the re-enactment at a local restaurant/pub.
