Join FVA for an exciting tabling event! The 2013 Earth Day Tampa Bay is being organized by the Universityof South Florida's Patel College of Global Sustainability, Office of Sustainability and the Tampa Bay Sierra Club. This year's theme, Fresh Food Revolution promotes local food growers, producers, distributors, educators, and supporters. What better place to educate the public on how eating meat, eggs and dairy takes a toll on their health, the environment, the climate and kills billions of animals yearly.
The year 2013 will mark the 43rd Earth Day Tampa Bay celebration. This year's festival will feature exhibitors, an interactive drum circle, vendors, a farmers market, demonstrations, children's activities, community groups, and food—all aimed to help Tampa Bay's residents create a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. This annual event typically attracts several thousands of participants.
Great opportunity for outreach to educate the public on factory farming's reach and how it effects every element of our environment. We are looking for volunteers to take 2 hour shifts. This is your chance to talk with those concerned about the environment and show them how going veg can help save the planet. First time tabling? No worries we will have experienced folks to help you out.
Any questions please call 727-656-8368
